Home of the Poteet Pirate BandOn April 15th, 2008, the Honors, Symphonic, and Concert Band competed in the UIL Concert and Sightreading competition in Forney, TX. After many months of hard work and preparation, all three groups were awarded unanimous superior ratings! Way to go Pirate Band!

BACK TO BACK STATE CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to the Pirate Band on their fantastic accomplishment, 2007 UIL AAAA State Marching Band Champions! The Pirate Band faced off against the 25 best bands in the state of Texas and emerged victorious finishing first in prelims and first in finals. The "Sea of Green" cheered the Pirate Band onto the field and onward to another State Title, the third in ten years. GO PIRATE BAND!

The Poteet High School Honors Band is the 2008 TMEA Class 4A Honor Band! This is the most prestigious award that can be given to a Texas high school concert band, and we could not be more proud of our students' distinguished accomplishment. The Honors Band performed in February at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention as a result of this prestigous honor.
Chick-fil-A has graciously offered to support the Pirate Band by offering a "Spirit Night" from 5pm-9pm on one Thursday evening every month this school year! Just smile and say you are there to support the Pirate Band and a percentage of your ticket goes directly to the students. The dates are as follows:
